Odoo Developer

Position Overview: 

As an Odoo Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and customising applications within the Odoo ERP platform. Leveraging your strong technical skills and expertise, you will contribute to the enhancement and optimisation of our client’s business processes while ensuring seamless integration of various modules. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into effective Odoo solutions. 
• Design, develop, and customise Odoo applications, modules, and workflows using Python, ensuring a seamless user experience and optimal performance. 
• Integrate third-party applications and systems into the Odoo ERP platform, facilitating data exchange and process automation. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, bugs, and bottlenecks within the Odoo environment, ensuring system stability and reliability. 
• Optimise and enhance existing Odoo modules to align with evolving business needs and industry best practice. 
• Perform code reviews and maintain high coding standards, ensuring code quality, readability, and maintainability. 
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and successful implementation. 
• Stay current with the latest Odoo developments, trends, and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• Proven experience as an Odoo Developer with a strong understanding of the Odoo framework and customisation. 
• Proficiency in Python programming language, with a focus on developing and extending Odoo modules. 
• Solid understanding of ERP concepts, processes, and modules. 
• Experience in integrating and configuring third-party applications and APIs with Odoo. 
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve technical issues. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

•   Odoo certification is a plus. 
•   Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases. 
•   Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Vue.js. 
•   Previous experience working in an Agile development environment.
